love comes to those who believe it

aug29,08

>narinig ko 'tong song na ito, kanina lang while having my duty :) i remembered my high school days. sobrang favorite ko talaga mga songs nina Celine Dion, The Corrs and Leann Rimes noon pa (marami pa akong naging ibang favorite, pero sila ang outstanding, haha).

Natuwa ako,.. coz hearing this song made me feel God's love even more :)

That's The Way It Is [Celine Dion]

I can read your mind and I know your story
I see what you're going through
It's an uphill climb, and I'm feeling sorry
But I know it will come to you
Don't surrender 'cause you can win
In this thing called love

When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

When you question me for a simple answer
I don't know what to say, no
But it's plain to see, if you stick together
You're gonna find a way, yeah

When life is empty with no tomorrow
And loneliness starts to call
Do not worry, forget your sorrow
'Cause love's gonna conquer it all, all...

my version, haha

When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
GOD comes to those who believe Him
And that's the way it is...

a blessed "ber-months" to all!

20 years of God's faithfulness

"In all my undertakings, I was never afraid of tomorrow because I know God was already there. He provided me with great inspiring mentors to learn from and great loving friends to be with.

Everyday was relished as grace-filled learning experiences, including those which left me with humbling realizations. In all aspects, these became equally important in molding me to become the person God really wants me to be."

[adapted from Bro. Boquer, 2008]

God is not finished with me yet :)

"You are the heartbeat of all I do,
Can't live a day without You.."

GROUP DYNAMICS

REFLECTION PAPER [Group Dynamics last August 11, 2008]

After going through an imaginary exercise, we were asked to draw the picture we had in mind with regard to our fears. At first, I honestly cannot think of any fear I have inside me. That is because I strongly believe that if you have already surrendered and entrusted your life to God, there is nothing to fear or worry about for the Lord is in control and his purposes are always for the good of those who love Him.

But I insisted, telling myself, “what if I have not entrusted my life to God, what would be my greatest fear?” Then it came to me that I am afraid of failure and of not achieving my dreams. I have shared this in class and was able to reflect on it. A classmate made this group activity very unforgettable for me when she told me, “baka ibibigay mo iyan [iyang fears mo] sa taong tutupad ng pangarap mo.” I know that what she meant is giving my fears to someone who is in the opposite sex. But I believe it is our Loving God, using my classmate’s lips, reminding me that, “there is nothing to fear my child. In this world you will have many troubles, but cheer up! I have overcome the world” [John 16:33]

I was really moved by my classmate’s statement and felt that the Lord was really with us that moment. This experience was very timely because I am presently struggling on dealing with my future career. I am soon to graduate, and being the eldest child in a broken family, sometimes makes me pressured to think about such things. I thank God for using this activity to remind me that He is God, I just need to be still.

going back to scoreboard,
here is our new topic...

"Tawas, pampalaglag, pahula, atbp":
The Underlying Reasons of Vendors Selling [such items] in [beside] Quiapo [church]

*aims to know the reasons why vendors sell such items near the chuch...
*Qualitative Study
*Respondents: vendors in Quiapo church
*method: triangulation

mahabang istorya...
our 1st topic was
The Speed on Puzzle Completion among Schizophrenics in the presence of Reinforcement.
we've just realized (kung kailan malapit na final term - defense ng thesis proposal), based from a related litt, that Schizo's are unreliable respondents...we need to change it, a great topic though.

I believe may itinuro at ituturo pa si Lord sa'min ng thesis partner ko...
di pa approved yang topic i mentioned regarding Quiapo vendors...
tomorrow pa lang namin malalaman yung result...
but I believe the Lord is in control :)
[share lang]

still hurt with what happened yesterday?

All of us have something in our past that we regret doing.
It may have been an honest mistake, a moral failure, or a foolish decision.
We wish it had not happened,
but it remains in our mind
and often drags us down.

The writer of the Proverbs said that,
"Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste. Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope, and your hope will not be cut off." [24:13-14]

While the past remains part of our lives, it doesn't have to determine our future.
With God's wisdom and the forgiveness He offers [pslam 130:3-4], we can focus on the future with hope.

IT IS BETTER TO LOOK AHEAD AND PREPARE,
THAN TO LOOK BACK AND DESPAIR.

Have a great day!
Our past is redeemed. Our present makes sense. Our future is secured...with our Sovereign God :)

inspirasyon para sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho

haha :)
i just felt blessed yesterday [sunday 08-03] while singing kay Lord yung song entitled
IN YOUR PRESENCE.

Here's the lyrics:

I want to go where the rivers cannot overflow me
Where my feet are on a rock
I want to hide where the blazing fire cannot burn me
In Your presence, O God

Chorus:
In Your presence, that's where I am strong
In Your presence, O Lord my God
In Your presence, that's where I belong
Seeking Your face, touching Your grace
In the cleft of the rock
In Your presence, O God

I want to hide where the flood of evil cannot reach me
Where I'm covered by Your blood
I want to be where the schemes of darkness cannot touch me
In Your presence, O God
(repeat chorus)

Bridge:
You are my firm foundation
I trust in You all day long
I am Your child and Your servant
And You are my strength and my song
You're my song

*Words and Music by Lynn DeShazo

wala lang, napalakas kasi ni Lord ang loob ko while meditating that song...

malapit na rin kasi akong mag-aapply for a job [hehe]
ilang months na lang ang bibilangin.
tapos kung sariling kakayanan ko lang ang iisipin ko,
naku lagot tayo diyan...

nakakalakas ng loob ang isiping, we are strong in God's presence.
yung imposible sa'tin, sa kaNiya posibleng posible pa.
Si Lord ang bahala. Walang kailangang ipag-alala :)

*Victory is impossible to everyone, except God.
The God we serve is able to deliver us.
If you try to guard your life by yourself,
you remove yourself from His deliverance.
[my utmost for His Highest]

[John 16:33]
There is nothing to fear, My child.
In this world, you will have many troubles;
but cheer up!
I have overcome the world.

Love,
your heavenly DAD
